When the most recent official revision of their waiting list for re-housing was carried out in November, 1972, by Dublin Corporation, the total number of families, including families of one person, on the approved waiting list at that date was 5,307. While no official revision of the list has been carried out since then, I understand from the corporation that in November, 1973, they estimated that there were then about 5,237 families on the approved waiting list.
The Deputy will be aware that the number of persons comprising the families on the approved waiting list varies constantly and that, as a consequence, information as to the number of persons, as distinct from families, on the list, from time to time, is not available.
