Vol. 270 No. 6

Written Answers. - County Cork Water Grant.

460.

asked the Minister for Local Government the reason for the delay in the payment of a water grant to a person in County Cork (name supplied); and if he will expedite the matter.

There is no record in the Department of an application for a domestic water supply grant in respect of a house at the address given. There is, however, an application from the person named in respect of a house at Coolacullig, Coachford.

The applicant in this case also installed a farm water supply and the grant for the domestic supply could not be calculated until the cost of works common to both the farm and domestic supplies had been determined by the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries. This information is now available and a grant of £50 has been allocated for the domestic supply. Payment will be made shortly.
