Vol. 271 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers (Resumed). - Accident Plans.

18.

asked the Minister for Health if he is satisfied that there is adequate provision made in the Eastern Health Board area in the event of a major traffic accident.

Comprehensive plans to cope with major accidents of any kind were prepared and have been tested on many occasions. In the Eastern Health Board area a satisfactory test of control and communication covering the greater Dublin area was carried out in February last. Arrangements are in hands for a further test to cover other aspects of the plan for this area.

Will the Parliamentary Secretary make available to the local health board the result of the proposed test as soon as it is available?
