Vol. 272 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Phoenix Park Amenities.

45.

asked the Minister for Finance the number of camogie pitches in the Phoenix Park, Dublin; and if separate changing and toilet facilities are provided for ladies.

Mr. Kenny

There are four camogie pitches in the Phoenix Park and one pavilion, which provides changing and toilet facilities for the camogie players.

46.

asked the Minister for Finance the number of soccer clubs which have been granted facilities on the 29 pitches in the Phoenix Park, Dublin; and whether there is a waiting list.

Mr. Kenny

The allocation of facilities on the soccer pitches in the Phoenix Park is handled by the Leinster Branch of the Football Association of Ireland. I understand, however, that about 150 teams use the grounds each weekend and that only a small number is on the waiting list.

47.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will make arrangements to have the pavilion at the Garda sports ground in the Phoenix Park, Dublin properly repaired.

Mr. Kenny

The maintenance of the pavilion on the Garda sports ground in the Phoenix Park is the responsibility of the Garda Síochána themselves. They will be reminded to have any necessary repairs executed.
