Vol. 272 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Vehicular Traffic.

12.

asked the Minister for Local Government if figures are available to indicate the annual percentage growth in vehicular traffic in the greater Dublin area; and, if so, if he will furnish particulars.

While the road authorities carry out regular traffic counts to gauge the increase in traffic on particular routes, figures are not calculated to indicate the increase in vehicular traffic throughout the area as a whole. It may assist the Deputy to know that the number of vehicles registered in Dublin city and county has increased by 5.23 per cent in the past year.
