Vol. 272 No. 9

Personal Explanation by Member.

I should like to make a short personal statement. In column 1464 of the Official Report of 26th February, 1974, Volume 270, No. 9 I am quoted as follows:

Is the Minister aware that such famous hotels as the Gresham Hotel are at risk and that staff have been given notice?

Since then I have received an assurance from Senator Michael Mullins, the General Secretary of the Irish Transport and General Workers Union that my information was incorrect. I should like to have that put on the record and apologise to him and to his members if they were caused any inconvenience.
