Vol. 273 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry School Transport Service.

51.

asked the Minister for Education whether he is aware that a large number of school bus tickets have been withdrawn from primary and post-primary school children in South Kerry, some of whom had tickets for the past four years; and if he will make arrangements to have the tickets renewed immediately.

I am not aware that travel permits have been withdrawn from any pupils, either primary or post-primary, in South Kerry during the current school year. Transport arrangements for the coming school year are at present being made. If the Deputy has in mind children who will be affected by proposed reorganisation of services for the next school year, perhaps he will let me have particulars and I will have these cases specially examined.
