To date, proposals for the provision of 48 welfare homes at various centres have been approved. Four of these have been completed and occupied; 16 are in course of construction and most of these are expected to be completed before the end of the year. Tenders have been received for five others and a further 12 are being planned.
Sites have been, or are being, acquired for the remaining 11 homes.
