asked the Minister for Finance if people engaged in horticulture will be exempted for capital gains tax purposes.

Persons engaged in horticulture will benefit from the exemptions and reliefs available generally in the case of capital gains tax. Those proposed are set out in the Government's White Paper on Capital Taxation as modified in my address to the Confederation of Irish Industry on 15th May, 1974.
