Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Waterford Firm.

28.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, in view of the impending takeover of a firm in Waterford (name supplied), he will give an assurance that the operation and modernisation of this plant will continue; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The outcome of the recent offer made for this company will not be known until later this month. The offer document which has issued to shareholders indicates that if the bid is successful, it is the intention to continue the name and the business of the company and to safeguard the employment of the management and staff.
