Vol. 275 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Defence Outlay.

13.

asked the Minister for Defence the annual outlay per head of the population in respect of defence spending in the current transitional financial period; and if he will compare this with the average annual outlay over the previous 20 years.

The current Vote for Defence is equivalent to £12.32 for a full year per head of population. The corresponding average figure over the past 20 years was £4.16.

A Cheann Comhairle, I did not hear you call Question No. 11 and I certainly did not hear a reply to it.

It was answered.
