Vol. 275 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Executive Officer Examination.

21.

asked the Minister for the Public Service why a person in Dublin (name supplied) was informed by the Civil Service Commission that he was unsuccessful in an examination for the position of executive officer when he had been notified previously that he had been successful.

When the applicant was informed of the result of the competition, he was also told that an offer of appointment would be subject to his satisfying the Civil Service Commissioners in regard to age, health, and so on. However, the commissioners have not decided that he is qualified for appointment in accordance with the provisions of section 17 (1) of the Civil Service Commissioners Act, 1956.
