asked the Minister for Local Government if he will initiate legislation to repeal that portion of section 17 of the Public Libraries Act, 1947, which sets out the upper level of contribution from his Department to An Comhairle Leabharlanna; and if he will make arrangements whereby his Department's contribution will be fixed at 50 per cent of the annual contribution of An Chomhairle.
