Vol. 275 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cattle Incentive Scheme.

22.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries the number of applications for grants under the beef cattle incentive scheme which have been refused on the grounds that (a) evidence of the identity of the bull was not available and (b) the quality of the calves was sub-standard.

While no precise figures are available, it is estimated that not more than about a dozen applications have been refused in any year on the grounds at (a). No application has been refused under (b).
