asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will furnish information in connection with applications submitted to his Department for financial aid from the FEOGA fund in respect of water supply schemes in County Dublin; and details of the proposals submitted by his Department to the EEC institutions and the date of application in each case.

As the national agency for applications for aid from the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund (FEOGA) under the scheme of grants for the improvement of agricultural structures, my Department on behalf of the Department of Local Government, forwarded to the EEC Commission on 28th June, 1974, two applications relating to the following water supply schemes in County Dublin—

(1) North County Dublin Infill Water Supply Scheme;

(2) Corballis, Donabate, Watermain Extension.

I understand that the Department of Local Government received five applications relating to County Dublin on 12th June which included the foregoing but that the remaining three, viz.—

(1) Balscadden Sub-Area Water Supply Scheme;

(2) Bog-of-the-Ring, Dermotstown, Water Supply Extension;

(3) Seapoint, Swords, Watermain Extension

were not eligible for consideration under the scheme since they did not comply with the condition that work should not commence until a formal acknowledgement of the application had been received from the Commission.
