Dáil Éireann debate -
Thursday, 28 Nov 1974

Vol. 276 No. 4

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 1, 2 and 10 (Vote 49, a main Estimate and two Supplementaries; Votes 35 and 36 (resumed) and 37 (resumed)). By agreement it is proposed that the main Estimate and the first Supplementary for the Department of Health be passed without debate and that the Estimate debate itself be conducted on the Token Supplementary remaining before the House. Questions will be taken from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Dáil will sit next week as follows: Tuesday, 3 p.m. to 10.30 p.m.; Wednesday, 10.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m.; and Thursday, 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

With regard to the Health Estimate, I am in agreement with what is suggested by the Tánaiste on condition that there is a full debate on Health and the debate on Health is not confined to four hours today as happened on the last occasion——

I give that undertaking.

——and that this debate will be continued next week to allow more than four people to contribute.

Will you be agreeable to our nomination for the Presidency?

Who is your nomination now? You are caught now.

(Interruptions.)

Order, please. Let us proceed with the business as arranged.
