Vol. 276 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Postal Service.

44.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if, in view of the drop in the use of the postal service resulting from the last increase in postal charges, he anticipates any increase in revenue.

The reduction in postal traffic since charges were increased has been small. Additional revenue from the increases is not expected to be affected significantly.

Can the Parliamentary Secretary tell us how small it is? What percentage drop?

It is 4.38 per cent.
