Vol. 276 No. 13

Ceisteanna — Questions. Written Answers. - Clonskeagh (Dublin) Sub-Post Office.

20.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if, in view of the recent closure of the sub-post office at Clonskeagh Road, Dublin, by the occupant of the premises, he will consider the opening of a sub-post office at the Bird Avenue shopping centre, Clonskeagh.

Despite the closure of the sub-post office at Clonskeagh Road, the Clonskeagh Road/ Bird Avenue area is still well served in the matter of post office facilities. The sub-offices at Windy Arbour and Roebuck are only four and six furlongs respectively from the former Clonskeagh Road office and are even nearer to Bird Avenue Shopping Centre. The opening of a sub-office at Bird Avenue shopping centre is not, therefore, considered warranted.
