Vol. 277 No. 11

Written Answers. - County Cork House Grant.

222.

asked the Minister for Local Government the reason for the delay in payment of a new house grant to a person (name supplied) in County Cork; and when this grant will be paid.

Payment of an instalment, £250, of the grant was made to the person named on 24th January, 1974. It is regretted that, through an oversight, a further inspection was not arranged with a view to payment of the balance.

An early inspection is now being arranged and, if the house is found to be satisfactorily completed, the balance will be paid without delay. The question of entitlement to the special rate of new house grant is also being investigated.
