Vol. 278 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Phoenix Park Toilets.

116.

asked the Minister for Finance if provision will be made for the construction of public toilets near the polo grounds in the Phoenix Park, Dublin.

Mr. Kenny

The suggestion that public toilets be provided near the polo grounds in the Phoenix Park is being considered in conjunction with general proposals for the improvement of toilet facilities in the park.

Is the Parliamentary Secretary aware that this request goes back over the past five years and that the same answer has been given in the past five years? Is the Parliamentary Secretary aware that there is a great need for toilet facilities in that area which attracts crowds, particularly at week-ends?

Mr. Kenny

I will have the matter treated now with expedition. I understand that improvements are needed. There is a general proposal for improvements all over the Park but this can be treated as a priority case.
