Vol. 278 No. 4

Ceisteanna-Questions. Oral Answers. - Stable Hands' Wages.

10.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if, in view of the fact that the wages of stable hands are not considered by the Agricultural Wages Board, he will arrange to have them so considered.

Stable hands whose work relates solely to attending on bloodstock in racing stables or horse breeding studs are not regarded by the Agricultural Wages Board as coming within the scope of the Agricultural Wages Acts. However the board regards as coming under those Acts workers whose time is required to be spent partly on attending to such bloodstock and partly on agriculture. I will arrange to have the Deputy's suggestion examined.
