(Cavan): The latest date for which figures for lands on hands are available is 31st December, 1974. At that date the area on the hands of the Land Commission in County Mayo was 15,279 acres, of which 11,411 acres were classified as lettable.

(Cavan): The Land Commission recently carried out an inspection of the property referred to following which they decided not to negotiate for purchase as the lands were unsuitable for their purposes. I am informed that the lands are situated within the Westport urban area.
