Vol. 278 No. 4

Written Answers. - Electricity and TV Licence Allowances.

171.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare when a free electricity allowance and television licence will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow who applied last July.

A completed application form for the free electricity allowance from the person concerned was received at the ESB district office on 13th February, 1975, and transmitted to my Department where it has now been approved.

There is no trace of receipt by the Department or the ESB office of any earlier application for the allowance. The person can now receive a free television licence to which he is also entitled by applying at the post office where he cashes his pension.
