asked the Minister for the Public Service the total number of administrative and clerical personnel in his Department on the date of its establishment, 1st November, 1973; the various categories of office; the number in each grade; and the salary applicable to each post.

The information sought by the Deputy is set out in a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.

(ii) Salary (Minimum and maximum of scale except for Secretary and Deputy Secretary who have a flat rate). (A) applies to a woman or an unmarried man, and (B) applies to a married man. The Clerical Assistant is an all female grade.
