The statues and monuments in Dublin under the control of the Commissioners of Public Works are cleaned as and when necessary. I am advised that special attention has been and is being given to some statues and monuments in the light of this country's presidency of the EEC.
The commissioners are not responsible for the statues and monuments in O'Connell Street.
The remaining questions will appear on tomorrow's Order Paper.
