asked the Minister for Labour the total number of persons declared redundant in the Dublin area for the year ended 31st January, 1975.

The relevant statistical records are those in respect of the area administered by the Dublin employment exchanges, namely, the city and county of Dublin, Dún Laoghaire and some adjoining areas of Counties Meath, Kildare and Wicklow.

The number of persons notified by employers as being qualified for redundancy payments in the area in the year ended the 31st January, 1973, was 5,225.
