Vol. 279 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballyfermot (Dublin) Post Office Services.

20.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if further consideration has been given by his Department to the establishment of full post office services for the Ballyfermot area, Dublin.

Post Office services in Ballyfermot, as in other areas, are regularly reviewed. The position as regards the Ballyfermot area remains as stated in my reply of 8th May, 1973, to a similar question by the Deputy. The full range of Post Office services is provided in the area with the exception that telegraph facilities are not available at the local sub-post offices. There appears to be little demand for these facilities and the existing arrangements for sending and delivering telegrams in the area are considered to be adequate.
