Vol. 279 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Waterford Firm.

24.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware that 58 workers are to be made redundant by a firm in Waterford (name supplied); if he will take steps, financial and otherwise, to ensure the viability of this firm; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware of the position referred to by the Deputy and so also are the relevant State agencies. Continuing contact is being maintained with the firm with a view to assisting it to resolve its problems.
