Vol. 279 No. 2

Written Answers. - County Council Wage Rates.

86.

asked the Minister for Local Government the rates payable to (a) machinery supervisors in county council areas (b) senior road overseers and (c) supervisors on local improvements schemes in each county council; and the number of counties in which the grade of senior road overseer is established.

The information relating to machinery supervisors and supervisors on local improvement schemes is not available in my Department. The grade of senior road overseer, or senior supervisor, has been established in four counties. The names of the county councils concerned are given below. Also shown are the current scales of pay which, it is understood, apply in each county.

Donegal County Council, £41.51 to £47.07; Limerick County Council, £44.58 to £50.12; Meath County Council, £44.38 to £50.14; Westmeath County Council, £44.26 to £48.26.
