Vol. 279 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - South African Imports.

6.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the value of imports from South Africa in 1974; and whether there are any means of preventing imports from that country through third countries, especially the UK.

Provisional figures for imports from South Africa in 1974 amount to £4,502,000.

As there are no prohibitions on imports from South Africa, the question of preventing imports from that country through third countries does not arise.
