Vol. 279 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Wicklow Lands.

45.

asked the Minister for Lands when arrangements in connection with the division of the Bulford estate at Kilcool, County Wicklow will be completed.

(Cavan): I presume the Deputy's question relates to the Forwood estate at Kilcoole of which some 29 acres have already been allotted to the Wicklow County Council for industrial development, housing and so on.

Composite resale proposals are envisaged for the remaining 92 acres and the nearby Kempe estate containing 59 acres which is also in possession of the Land Commission.

Inquiries in connection with the disposal of the lands are continuing and it is hoped that proposals for allotment will be drawn up before the end of the year.

46.

asked the Minister for Lands the amount of land held by the Land Commission for division in County Wicklow.

(Cavan): The total area at present in possession of the Land Commission for division in County Wicklow is 1,880 acres, approximately, of which about 1,780 acres are classified as lettable.
