Vol. 280 No. 3

Written Answers. - County Sligo Schools.

186.

asked the Minister for Finance the present position concerning the installation of flush toilets at Annaghmore National School and at Carn National School, Gurteen, County Sligo.

Plans and specification were furnished to the manager to enable him to invite tenders for the installation of a water borne system of sanitation at Annaghmore National School. The response to the invitation was unsatisfactory and the manager has been asked to seek fresh tenders.

The manager has been asked to explore the possibility of obtaining a supply of water by sinking a well on the site of Carn National School. If a satisfactory supply is obtained, plans and specification for a water borne system will be prepared and sent to him by the Commissioners of Public Works so that he may invite tenders.

187.

asked the Minister for Finance the up-to-date position regarding the erection of a new national school at Easkey, County Sligo; if the site has been inspected; and, if so, if it is suitable.

The site offered for this new school has been inspected by the Commissioners of Public Works. It is not large enough for the size of the school proposed and the reverend manager has been advised that an extension will be necessary. If an additional plot can be made available, a survey of the enlarged site will be made as soon as possible.

The Dáil adjourned at 5 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, 29th April, 1975.
