266.

asked the Taoiseach the current rates of pay of forestry workers, agricultural workers and county council workers, in the form of a reply of 6th November, 1974.

The following statement gives for each county the present (a) basic weekly time rate of wages paid to forestry workers for a 40-hour week (b) weekly rates of wages (excluding service pay) paid by county councils to road labourers for a 40-hour week and (c) minimum weekly rates payable to adult male agricultural workers under the Agricultural Wages (Minimum Rates) (No. 2) Order, 1974. These rates apply to a 44-hour week in the period November to February inclusive and to a 50-hour week during the remainder of the year. In the case of forestry workers an incentive bonus is payable in addition to the basic weekly time rates.
