Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork School.

41.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the overcrowded conditions which obtain at present at Scoil an Spioraid Naomh Girls' National School, Curraheen Road, Bishoptown, Cork; and when it is proposed to provide extra classrooms to alleviate the problem.

Mr. R. Burke

The primary school accommodation requirements in the Bishoptown area, Cork, have been the subject of a comprehensive report by the local district inspector recently. The report is at present under consideration in my Department.

In the meantime, the Department have approved of the provision of two prefabricated classrooms at Scoil an Spioraid Naomh girls national school, Bishoptown, to meet existing needs until such time as the overall accommodation requirements are satisfactorily met.
