No formal claim has been made on behalf of secondary teachers for recognition of service of the kind referred to by the Deputy. Should such a claim be made, the matter would be fully considered in the normal way.
Does the Minister not think that, for example, teachers of commerce in secondary schools who have had commercial experience should get recognition for this service?

I should not like to anticipate the submitting of a formal claim in this matter. Such a claim would go through the usual processes.
