Vol. 281 No. 2

Written Answers. - Contributory Old Age Pension.

75.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why a person (name supplied) in County Offaly has not received an allowance for his three young children in his contributory old age pension.

A claim form to enable the person concerned to claim an increase of pension in respect of his children was issued to him on 12th February, 1975, and has not been received back in my Department. In view of the Deputy's representations of 2nd May, 1975, to the effect that the claimant had returned the form and, in consequence of information obtained in my Department's records, an increase of pension of £7.50 a week in respect of his three children was awarded to the claimant with effect from 4th April, 1975. Pension books to enable him to receive payment of the increase were issued to him on 14th May.
