The annual review of the building industry is prepared by my Department and issued when the agreement of the various interests concerned, including employer and employee organisations, building materials suppliers and other Government Departments has been sought and obtained. Arrangements are being made to hold a meeting at an early date to discuss the 1975 review.
Would the Minister state if the publication of the review is not considerably later than usual this year?
Yes, possibly it is later than usual, but it is really a matter of when the various interests are prepared to meet, because it requires a lot of preparation to draw up the review. The Deputy can be assured the meeting will take place some time in June.
