Vol. 282 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tallaght Unemployed.

17.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he is aware that facilities at Tallaght Garda station, County Dublin, are inadequate to cater for the large number of unemployed people signing at this station; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department have not been receiving complaints regarding the adequancy of the arrangements under which unemployed persons in the Tallaght area have their weekly unemployment forms certified at the local Garda station. However, as the Deputy is already aware from the replies given by the Minister for Justice some time ago to his questions regarding Tallaght Garda station, the provision of additional accommodation at the station is under active consideration.
