asked the Minister for Education the number of four-year-old, five-year-old, six-year-old and seven-year-old pupils, respectively, attending primary schools in this country in 1974-1975.

The returns related to 30th September, 1974, show the position to be as follows:

asked the Minister for Education the percentage of primary school leavers in the State who did not proceed to second level education during the school year 1973-74.

The percentage of national school leavers who did not proceed to second level education during the school year 1973-74 is estimated at 3 per cent. No data is available in respect of leavers from private primary schools.
