Vol. 285 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Employment Office.

13.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will arrange for the establishment of a signing centre for recipients of unemployment assistance in Kilcummin post office, County Kerry, to cater for a large number of persons who travel from three to eight miles to sign in Killarney.

This matter was examined in my Department in March, 1970, and March, 1971, and it was then considered that it was not feasible to make any change in the current signing arrangements. I have now arranged for a re-examination of the position and the Deputy will of course be advised of the outcome.
