The Commissioners of Public Works are considering the tenders received for this project and are unable to say at this stage when a contractor will be appointed or when construction work will begin.
Would the Minister accept that there is a great need for this depot in that area?
Yes, I agree with the Deputy that that is so and I regret that the examination by the Commissioners of Public Works has taken much longer than was expected.
The Minister will ensure that it will move faster in future?
I will do my best to do so.
