Vol. 285 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Offaly School.

38.

asked the Minister for Education if he will make Kilmurray old national school, County Offaly, which was recently closed, available to the local people of approximately 100 families as a community centre; and if he will make a statement on the proposals his Department have to make use of this building.

The question of the use to which the former Kilmurray national school may be put is in the first instance, a matter for the trustees in whom the school is vested, or for the Reverend Manager acting on their behalf.

Should the trustees or the manager apply to my Department for permission to use the premises as a community centre such application would be favourably considered.
