The report of the working party on the fire service, which has been published includes consideration of the financing arrangements. While the report does not put forward a scheme on the lines suggested by the Deputy, it does make a number of recommendations on financing. Those will be considered with the other report recommendations, in the light of views received in the process of consultation.
