Vol. 286 No. 5

Written Answers. - Unemployment Benefit.

291.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will arrange to have unemployment benefit paid to a person (name supplied) in Macroom, County Cork.

A claim for unemployment benefit made by the person concerned on 4th October, 1975 was disallowed by a deciding officer on the ground that she had left her employment voluntarily without just cause and was accordingly disqualified for receiving unemployment benefit for a period of six weeks.

The claimant has appealed against this decision and she will be notified as soon as possible of the time, date and place of the appeal hearing at which it will be open to her to attend and give evidence on her own behalf.
