Vol. 286 No. 9

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 5, 12, Supplementary Votes 22 and 23, 13 (resumed) and 11 (resumed). By agreement Votes 22 and 23 will be passed without debate. Questions will be taken from 2.30 to 3.30 p.m. The Dáil will sit as follows next week: Tuesday, 3 p.m. to 10.30 p.m., Wednesday, 10.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. and Thursday, 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

May I say, in relation to No. 12, Votes 22 and 23, that is the Justice Supplementaries, that it was agreed that they be passed without debate to suit the Minister's convenience? The Minister undertook to have time made available next week for a debate on these two Supplementaries.

I am agreeable if it can be fitted in. I understood Deputy Collins would like a couple of hours next Wednesday and I understood the Whips might arrange that. I indicated I was agreeable to that.

I am only putting that on the record.

I understand.

Tuesday or Wednesday?

I think the word "understood" might be a bit strong.

Let us say an understanding. We will accept the understanding as much as the Minister's undertaking.

Let it be this week or next week.

Can the Taoiseach indicate at this stage the date of resumption after the Christmas Recess and also the date on which the budget is likely to be taken?

I cannot at this stage.
