asked the Taoiseach the total number on the live register at Wexford, Enniscorthy, New Ross and Gorey employment exchanges on the last relevant date in each of the years 1972, 1973, 1974 and 1975; and the number on the same dates for each of the urban areas mentioned.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the required information for the nearest available dates.

asked the Taoiseach the number of persons in receipt of unemployment benefit at Cork exchange at 31st December, 1975 and at 31st December, 1974.

asked the Taoiseach the number of persons in receipt of unemployment benefit at Blarney, County Cork at 31st December, 1975 and at 31st December, 1974.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 9 and 10 together.

The numbers of unemployment benefit claims current at Cork employment exchange on 2nd January, 1976 and 3rd January, 1975 were 3,636 and 2,681 respectively. Statistics of persons on the live register are compiled in respect of the areas which are covered by each local office. Separate figures for Blarney, which has no local office, are therefore not available.
