Vol. 287 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Balbriggan Harbour Drainage.

22.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he has yet re-examined the possibility of dredging Balbriggan Harbour, County Dublin; and his future plans in the matter.

As I have informed the Deputy I propose to reexamine the position in regard to Balbriggan Harbour in the light of the report of the special survey team who have been examining ports and landing places in County Dublin. The survey team's report has not yet been submitted.

When does the Parliamentary Secretary expect to get this report?

It is unlikely to be available for some time. The Deputy should not ask me to define what "some time" means.

Will the Parliamentary Secretary try to hurry up the work?

I certainly will.
