Bulk milk tanks purchased after 1st February, 1974, would be eligible for grant aid subject to compliance with the conditions of the farm modernisation scheme. These conditions would require, inter alia, that the bulk tank was provided for in the applicant's farm plan and that he had obtained the Department's prior approval for its installation. In the absence of details of individual cases it would not be possible to indicate the reasons why any application in respect of a bulk tank was deemed to be ineligible for grant.
