Vol. 287 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Dublin Postal Facilities.

39.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the plans, if any, to provide adequate post office facilities in Swords, County Dublin by constructing a post office and a sorting office and by providing extra postmen.

There are no plans for constructing a post office or sorting office in Swords. As I said on 19th February, 1975, in answer to a previous question by the Deputy, the needs of the area, so far as counter services are concerned, are adequately catered for by the local sub-post office and the present mail arrangements are operating satisfactorily. Postal delivery arrangements in a growing area like Swords are revised as required to provide for housing or other developments.
