I have been informed by the Industrial Development Authority that the detail requested by the Deputy is not readily available in respect of 1973 as it was not compiled on a calendar year basis at the time. The Deputy will also appreciate that there are difficulties of definition involved in his question. However, the authority are able to furnish data in respect of the 12 months' period 1st April, 1973 to 31st March, 1974. In this period one capital grant at the statutory maximum limit was approved in respect of a project submitted by a foreign promoter. In the same period in respect of projects promoted by undertakings within the country maximum grants were approved for 24 new industry projects, 38 re-equipment projects and 41 research and development projects.
